Two races this week. Time Trial season starts on the bike which gives me the first real chance to test my bike form against the clock. There is still a weather component and my legs are going to still not be clear of Sunday's long ride, but this will be a good test. However, I am just going to train straight over it. There are plenty more of these to come over the next few months.
Then Sunday is Peterhead Sprint Tri. This is my last opportunity for a triathlon before Strathclyde so I am going to strip it down to as close a test race as I can. The bike course is as fast and flat as any of the local races and is the best course outside of pure cycle Time Trials to do a fast ride, weather permitting. I am not going to train over this one, I am going to take the Friday / Saturday as a proper tapered lead-in.
And that taper defines the rest of my week.
